John R. Bost, 51, of West Mifflin passed away suddenly on Monday May 8, 2023 in UPMC Mercy. John was born October 27, 1971 in McKeesport, he was the son of Janet Polivka and the late John R. Bost. He was a retired steel worker at U.S. Steel Irvin Works. He was an avid bowler with over 8 - 300 games but his biggest joy was spending time with his daughter, Emma, at concerts, WWE events as well as Pirate and Penguin games.
John and Emma shared a passion for bowling and corvettes. John is survived by his mother, Janet Bost, daughter, Emma Rose Bost and her mother, Renea Colizza, Emma's siblings, Kasey Pack and Dominic Colizza, sisters, Michelle (Dejan) Milentijevic and Jonette R. Bost, nephew, Danilo Milentijevic, niece, Zoya Milentijevic, Aunts, Uncles and cousins. Also his best friend, Daisy, who John and Emma rescued 11 years ago.
John was lucky to have a winning combination of friends, who were multipliers to his life - there were his bowling friends, his US Steel friends, his Shop and Save Family of Buttermilk Hollow Rd. and especially Johnny's Angels. John was also fortunate to have many friends, who he met as he traveled along his road of life. Besides his father he was also preceded in death by his grandparents, a brother, Baby Boy Bost, Aunts and Uncles.
Friends and family will be received on Saturday, May 13, 2023 from 1-3 and 6-8 P.M. in the William S. Skovranko Memorial Home Inc., 828 Richford Street, Duquesne. A Blessing service will be held on Monday, May 15, 2023 at 9:20 A.M. in the Memorial Home and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Agnes Church. West Mifflin at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Nicholas Mastrangelo as celebrant. Burial will follow in SS. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Cemetery, West Mifflin.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Heal Animal Rescue (Animal Friends of Westmoreland County) 216 Depot Street, Youngwood, PA. 15697.
