William H. "Bill" Geissler

William H. "Bill' Geissler, 75, of Port Vue, passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2023. He was born March 19, 1948 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Eugene D. "Bill" and Leota Marie (Galley) Geissler. He was the husband of the late Maria Rosario "Rosie" (Odtohan) Geissler. They were married for 41 years. William was a graduate of McKeesport High School and was retired from the VA Hospital in Pittsburgh and was also a retired school bus driver. He was a US Air Force Veteran serving during the Vietnam War and was a member of the Glassport American Legion.

He is survived by his daughter: Suzanne (Patrick) Hallas of Glassport, grandsons: Cameron Palmer, Shane Palmer, and Joshua Hallas and great grandson: Hunter Palmer, a niece, Jackie Comer and a nephew, Billy Kopf. He was preceded in death by his sister, Suzanne Kopf. Friends are welcome Tuesday, May 23, 2023 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township (412) 751-5000 Drew J. Gilbert, Director. Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at 12:00 noon. The Rev. Paul Walter will officiate.
