James "J.R." Richardson Williams, Jr., 34, of Buena Vista, passed away Friday, May 19, 2023.

He was born August 3, 1988 in McKeesport and was the son of Cathy Marie (Rick) Davenport Williams of Buena Vista and James "Rich" Richardson (Lori) Williams of West Newton. J.R. was a 2006 graduate of Elizabeth Forward High School. J.R. was a kind hearted soul, who was always there for anyone in need.

He was a great handyman and was always involved in various side jobs and yard work. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sisters, Amanda (Chris) Daugherty of Clairton and Tanya (Jay) Byers of Wilmerding, uncles, Paul (Tammy) Williams, William Davenport and James (Karen) Davenport, nieces, Cheyanne Daugherty and Kali Rose Zarnick, nephews, Jaden Wolfe, Ty McCracken, many cousins, his best friend, Steven Kinner, and absolutely loved his dog, Buddy.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Catherine Williams, and William and Janet Davenport, and an uncle, Raymond Davenport. Private visitation was held Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township.(412) 751-5000 Drew J. Gilbert, Director.
