Jane Laska, age 98 of North Huntingdon, formerly of McKeesport, passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2016 at Walden's View Senior Living in North Huntingdon. Born January 21, 1918 in Wishaw, PA, she was the daughter of the late Thomas S. and Annie (Bell) Cowie, and loving wife of the late Steve A. Laska. Jane was a lifetime member of the Kephart United Methodist Church and loved to spend time with her church family. She worked for the McKeesport Area School District as a cafeteria worker where she was the head baker for over 30 years.

Her love for baking, especially her famous homemade breads, will be missed by many. Jane was one of the original campers at Scottyland Camping Resort in Rockwood, where she always cherished the time spent with her family and fellow campers. She is survived by her son, John (Carol) Laska of North Huntingdon; granddaughters, Linda Laska of Whitehall and Sheri Laska of North Huntingdon; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her son, Ronald (surviving wife, Fay) Laska of West Mifflin; and her four brothers. Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Pastor Debbie Kociban will officiate. Entombment will follow at Penn Lincoln Memorial Park. Memorial donations are suggested to Kephart United Methodist Church, 906 Fawcett Ave, McKeesport, PA 15132.
