Carl M. Meskanick, 85, of Elizabeth Township, passed away at home on Thursday, August 3, 2023. He was born January 18, 1938 in Pittsburgh and was the son of the late John and Anna (Petrisko) Meskanick. Carl was a member of Saints Joachim and Anne Parish- St. Michael Church in Elizabeth Township. He was the proprietor of the former Riverside Hotel in Dravosburg and was previously co-owner of the Cross Creek Inn in Elizabeth Township with his son Michael. He was a graduate of Duquesne High School and was a US Army Veteran serving from 1957 to 1960. He loved his family and his grandchildren meant the world to him.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Barbara A. (Selis) Meskanick, daughter, Kimberly A. Lynch of West Mifflin, son, Michael Meskanick of Elizabeth Township, grandchildren, Patrick Lynch, Shawn Lynch, Ashley Lynch Michael Meskanick and Dominick Meskanick, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Paul, John, Bernie and Steve Meskanick. Friends are welcome Sunday, August 6, 2023 from 2-6 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1638 Lincoln Way, White Oak. (412) 672-6322 Troy J. Gilbert, Director.
