Doris Darlene Williams, age 80, of Glassport, died on Monday, August 14, 2023. She was born in Vindex, Maryland on February 20, 1943 and is the daughter of the late Lloyd and Beatrice Knox Kifer. She was the matriarch of the family, an excellent cook, and enjoyed knitting and crocheting blankets. Doris was a proud member of the United States Marine Corps. She attended the former Lesko Beauty School in McKeesport and then opened her own business in McKeesport, Doris’ Hair Salon which she operated for approximately six years. Doris retired as a custodian from McKeesport Area School District when she was 62 years old after twenty years of service.

She is survived by her husband; Roy Willams, Jr.; daughters, Marcy Butler of West Mifflin, Melaney (Phil) Miljus of Irwin; son; Mark (Cindy) Williams of Glassport; 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers, Paul (Penny) Kifer of White Oak; Victor (Debbie) Kifer of West Mifflin; Arthur “Rusty” Kifer, of Port Vue; Howard “Timmy” (Carol) Kifer of Glassport; Lloyd “Pete” (Noreen) Kifer, Massillon, OH. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her grandson, Christopher Butler; and sister, Susan Kifer. Family and friends will gather at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177) on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m., when military services will be held.
