Ronald R. Riley Sr., age 71, of North Versailles, died September 16, 2023 at UPMC East. Born May 11, 1952, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Raymond Riley and Olga (Gatchie) Riley Lenhart and longtime companion of the late Betty Jackson.
Ron retired from the Pittsburgh VA Hospital in the dietary department. He graduated from McKeesport VoTech, studying Cabinetry making. Ron was a proud United States Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Free Hungarian Reformed Church in McKeesport. Ron was also a member of the VFW and the former McKeesport American Legion. In his free time, he enjoyed reading and was known for his "sweet tooth," snacking on his favorite candies, Jolly Ranchers, and Twix bars. Ron loved to make his family and friends laugh.

Ron is survived by his sons, Ronald (Emily) Riley Jr., Devin Riley, and Colin (Hannah) Riley; grandchildren, Mileena Riley, Brianna Salla, Leland and Nailah Riley; great-grandchildren, Jackson and Piper; siblings, William (Linda) Riley, Lisa (Jimmy) Bentley and Leane Kennedy; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Kathy Vazquez, Jackie Medina, Michael Riley, and Ray Riley.
Family and friends will be received at Willig Funeral Home & Crematory on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, from 3 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 5 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
Inurnment will be at a later date in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
