Dorothy Sorick, 91, of Forward Township, formerly of Glassport, passed away Friday, November 10, 2023. She was born October 8, 1932 in Glassport and was the daughter of the late Nicoli and Millicent (Incean) Peterson. She was the wife of the late William E. Sorick who passed away August 13, 1984. She was a member of Sts. Joachim and Anne Parish-St. Michael Church in Elizabeth Township, Blaine Hill Seniors, Elizabeth Township Seniors, and the Elizabeth Borough Bingo. She was a 1950 graduate of Glassport High School and was the organizer of the 1950 Lunch Bunch.

She is survived by her children, Michael Sorick of Myrtle Beach, SC., Linda (Mick) Olasin of North Huntingdon, Colleen (Ed) Jackson of Forward Township, and Jeffrey (Kelly) Sorick of Elizabeth, grandchildren, Corrie Olasin of Elizabeth, Michael (Caroline) Olasin of Level Green, Perry Jackson of St. Petersburg, FL., Kris Stitt of Monroeville, Michele Cramer of Perryopolis, and Michael Jackson of Smock, great-grandchildren, Althea Olasin, Violet Olasin, Brianna Mignogna, Alayna Cramer,Taylor Jackson, and Braelyn Jackson, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Dan Peterson, John Peterson and Chuck Peterson, sisters, Mary Russ and Eleanor Pavuk and nephews, Joe Pavuk and Alan Pavuk. Friends are welcome Monday, November 13, 2023 from 4-8 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. (412) 751-5000 Drew J.
