June Guckert, 95, of North Huntingdon, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at her home.  She was born June 9, 1928 in Wilmerding, to the late Fred G. and Mildred Thompson.  June had a sweet soul and always had a smile on her face and deeply loved her family.  She was a member of the First Methodist Church and she enjoyed singing, playing cards, reading, and watching her favorite television shows Rifleman and Andy Griffith.  June also enjoyed listening to Elvis songs and even attended one of his concerts.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mae Myers; and brothers, Fred G., Robert J. James D. and Eugene Thompson.  She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Nauman; granddaughter, Melissa; son, Jack (Anita); grandson, Josh; sister, Mildred Koester; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Friends will be received from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, PA  15642.  A funeral service will follow at 11:30 a.m.  Interment in Grandview Cemetery.  Kathy would like to thank the staff of Heartland Hospice; Maureen, Shari, Susan and Marty for their loving and compassionate care for June.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.   www.shirleyfuneralhome.com
