David F. Diebel, age 80, of North Huntingdon, died November 24, 2023, at Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital.  Born September 8, 1943, in Portland, OR, he was the son of the late Ele Oren and Matti Jean (Stapleton) Diebel and the loving companion of the late Barbara Jenkner.  David was a proud Marine Corps Veteran who served during the Vietnam War.  He was a White Oak American Legion Post 701 member and active in Westmoreland County church dartball leagues.  He was a car and motorcycle enthusiast with Triumphs, Indians, and Harleys.  David was also an avid sports fan rooting for the Pittsburgh teams professionally and Oregon and USC for college.

David is survived by sons, David M., (Christa) Diebel, of Sutersville, and Daniel A. (Jennifer) Diebel, of Port Haywood, VA; daughter, Lisa Pacella, of Pittsburgh; grandchildren, Kayla, Michael, Bailey, Mason, and Austin; great-grandchildren, Hadley and Ethan; nieces, Lisa (Arthur) Jabbour-Kluch and Stephanie (Stephen) Nelson and many other nieces and nephews; step-children,  Donald (Lynne) Jenkner of McKeesport, Robert (Joani) Jenkner of Omaha, NE, Shari Ann (Terry) Smith of North Huntington, and Daniel (Erin) Jenkner of Tucson, AZ; step- grandchildren, Nicholas, Ryan, Travis, Tara, Robbie, Benjamin, Laci, Chelsea, and Micha; step-great-grandchildren, Bentley, Lily, Abby, Lukas, Charlie, and Paige.  In addition to his parents and Barbara, he was also preceded in death by siblings, Trena Jabbour, DeWayne Diebel, Sandra Diebel, and Darrell Diebel.  Family and friends will be received at Willig Funeral Home & Crematory on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.  Condolences and memories may be shared at www.willigfuneralcremationservices.com.  Charles Danforth, Supervisor
