Bertha C. Szala, age 102, of McKeesport, died November 26, 2023, at AHN Forbes Hospital. Born June 26, 1921, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Walenty and Amelia Halon Szala.

Bertha was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish, the Elizabeth Township Seniors, and the Versailles AARP. Bertha worked for U.S. Steel Christy Park Works manufacturing bomb casings to help the war effort. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by sisters, Pauline, Helen, and Mary Szala. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 1, 2023, at 11 a.m. at St. Angela Merici Church. Everyone is asked to please meet at the church.
