Donald “Don” A. Davis, age 81, a lifelong resident of Buena Vista, passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at Jefferson Hospital. He retired as a welder for Lincoln Hydraulics in Washington. A wartime Navy veteran, he enjoyed golfing in his younger years and also working on and painting cars. Born November 4, 1942 in Buena Vista, he was a son of the late Arthur G. and Violet J. (Lander) Davis. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Ellen M. "Ellie" (Swarm) Davis; son, Dan T. (Jennifer) Davis of Belle Vernon; grandchildren, Donald Scott Davis Petrocelli of Pittsburgh, Austin Thomas Davis Petrocelli of Monroeville, Jacob Thomas Davis of Huntsville, AL, and Ashley (Chew) Fisher of Belle Vernon; step-grandchildren, Nathan Masucci of Florida and James Masucci of Pittsburgh; and brother, Thomas R. (Phyllis) Davis of Tidioute. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son, Dean Scott Davis, and granddaughter, Danielle Kathleen Davis. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, 221 North Second Avenue, Elizabeth, on Saturday, December 23, 2023 from 1 PM until the time of service at 4 PM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Mary Kay Glunt officiating.
