Craig Allen Kovac, age 65, of McKeesport, passed away on Monday, December 18, 2023, at UPMC McKeesport Hospital after an illness with cancer. He was born August 5, 1958, and was the son of Betty J. Samurda and the late Paul G. Kovac, Jr. He was previously employed by File Express and the Iron Mountain Corporation. Craig was an avid reader and enjoyed model Lionel Trains, football, hockey, retro television programs, and the History Channel. Craig and his son C.J. were skilled drummers who enjoyed classic rock such as The Beatles and The Rolling Stones. He loved watching his son play. He had a kind and generous heart. He will be deeply missed.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by a son, Craig A. "C.J." Kovac, Jr.; C.J.'s mother, Dawna Greenwald; and sister, Kristi Lynn. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends at Pazzo's. In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by his dear beloved brother, Paul G. Kovac, III. Per Craig's wishes, the inurnment at McKeesport & Versailles Cemetery will be private. Arrangements were entrusted to Willig Funeral Home & Crematory.
