Ed was a warmhearted man who had a pure perception of the world. This is what made his life so beautiful. He was far more unique than you and me. He had a relationship with his passions that ran deeper than the average person. This doesn’t mean he liked simple things; he just knew more about them. With a powerful connection to music, he found pleasure in hearing the melodies played off his radio. Music touched his soul in ways that made existing a lovely experience. Bob FM broadcasted most of his favorites such as Pink Floyd, The Doors, Led Zeppelin, CCR, Bon Jovi, and many more related to rock n roll. He was also an avid listener of audiobooks. Among his favorite books was "Blind, but Now I See," a story that touched his heart and gave a more vivid picture of the world he lived in. 

Sitting in his chair at his parents’ house, hot cup of tea in hand, along with a chocolate chip cookie, was a way Ed liked to spend a portion of his time. He also had a collection of sensory toys gifted to him by his loved ones. Each of them had their own specific name and Ed could tell you which person each toy came from. He was always surrounded by family that loved him and it was known he gave that same love to his family. 

Ed shared a special bond with his sister, Sue, and they enjoyed spending time together at the Irwin Moose.  “Suzie Q'' Ed would call to her, and she would reply “What’s going on Eddie-sghetti.” Their shared company and companionship created memories that will forever be remembered by all who have witnessed them. 

Eddie was adopted by warm, loving individuals. Edith and John Andrison raised him with compassion, allowing him to grow and prosper. He attended the school for the blind and went on to hold a couple of occupations. As a younger man, Ed found excitement in adventure, whether it was kicking his legs on swings at the park, conquering thrilling roller coasters, or taking walks with Sue in Deep Creek.  These experiences enriched his world and brought him immeasurable happiness.

To others, Ed’s disabilities may have seemed a disadvantage, yet they were all he had known. This allowed him to persevere in a world made for the able-bodied. He was strong, compassionate, and always friendly. Ed was one of the kindest individuals. Most people who knew him won’t ever encounter that pure type of kindness again in their lives. This is what made him extraordinarily special. 

Ed is survived by his loving mother, and his siblings, Sue (Bob Sistek) Gray, Chris Tomko, and Michael (Deb) Andrison, Bill (Laurene) Hyde; nieces and nephews, Mylisa (Rj), Rachelle, Stephen Jr. (Noelle), Autumn (Brandon), James (Jess), Rob (Sara), Jenifer (Jon), Jennifer (Brian), Shawn, Lisa, Missy, Geoff (Patti), Bo (Cheryl); 18 great-nieces and nephews and 1 great-great nephew.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by brothers, Steve (Pam) Andrison, John Andrison, Jr., and Dennis (Lou) Andrison

Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Friday, January 26, 2024, from 11 a.m. until the blessing service at 2 p.m.  The burial will follow at Penn Lincoln Memorial Park.  Condolences and memories may be shared at www.jaycox-jaworskifh.com.  Chris Odasso, Supervisor
