Private services were held today for Charles Herbert Wilson, 86, of Duquesne, Pennsylvania, formerly of Homestead, departed this life November 8, 2016 at home
Born June 29, 1930 in Homestead, son of the late Juan Heredia and Bernice Yudora Wilson. He was preceded in death by loving wife, Betty Delores Wilson and children, Rance Wilson, Tony Wilson, Gaylord Wilson, and Darlene Alexander.
He was a member of Precious Jewel Lodge # 54 AF & AM, Local Union 1557 USWA, where he previously served as Civil Rights Chairman, and he was also a 33 Degree Mason. He proudly served in the US Army Quartermaster Corp. during WWII. He worked retired from USS Duquesne Works.
Survivors include children, Karen Hill of Duquesne, Rev. Terry Moseley of Homestead, Sharon Hughes of Duquesne, Charles "Chico" Wilson, Jr. of Homestead, Juan Wilson of McKeesport; sister, Rosa Booth of Hazelwood; many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
