Janice B. Horsman, 80, of North Huntingdon, passed away November 10, 2016 at Transitions Health Care, North Huntingdon.

She was born October 20, 1936 in Pittsburgh, PA, a daughter of the late William K. and Emma Henstock Orr.  Janice was a member of the Ardara Evangelical Presbyterian Church,  cub scout pack leader, an avid reader and enjoyed taking trips to the mountains with her family.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Horsman; son, Stephen Horsman; three brothers, Richard, Donald and William Orr; three sisters, Helen Woolley, Lillian Grove and Ruth Root.  She is survived by her two daughters, Ruth Kiesel and her husband, Gary, Cindy Kohler and her husband, William;  son, John Horsman and his wife, Linda; six grandchildren, Dr. Amanda Michael (Dr. Nathan Michael), Dr. Matthew Kohler (Dr. Cheryl Kohler), Jess Frantz (Jon), Stephanie Kiesel, John Horsman Jr., Cassandra Horsman; sisters-in-law, Mary Ellen Painter and Rita (Susie) Forsthoffer.  Friends will be received on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, PA.  A funeral service will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at the Ardara Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Ardara, PA.  PLEASE GO DIRECTLY TO THE CHURCH.  Interment will be private in Long Run Cemetery, North Huntingdon, PA.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Ardara Evangelical Presbyterian Church.  www.shirleyfuneralhome.com.
