Marlene (Fisher) Caird, age 80, of Elizabeth Twp., passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2016, at home. A retired Registered Nurse Manager at Monongahela Valley Hospital, she was also a Registered Nurse at St. Margaret's Hospital and Allegheny General Hospital. She was a member of Bethesda United Presbyterian Church in Elizabeth and the Mon Valley Nurses Club.

She was born June 24, 1936 in Elizabeth Twp. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, David Caird of Elizabeth Twp.; daughters, Jeanne Hunt of Elizabeth Twp. and Jennifer (Mark) Kessler of St. Cloud, FL; grandchildren, Heather Patterson of Fairhope AL, Lily Hunt of West Mifflin, Abby Schneider of St. Petersburg, FL, Larry (Sandra) Schneider of St. Cloud, FL, and Danielle (Matthew) Williams of Clearwater, FL; great-grandchildren Isabella, Kymber, and Alexis; identical twin sister, Darlene (Dr. Karl) Ludwig of Franklin Park; sisters-in-law, Edith Fisher of Forward Twp, Norma Filewich of Elrama, Janice Hofmeister of Fayetteville, NC, Gayle (James) McGruder of Mt. Dora, FL, and Alice Caird of Ohioville, PA; also, many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother and dad, Janet Gephart Ashton and John E. Ashton; and brother, Thomas Fisher. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, 221 North Second Avenue, Elizabeth on Monday, November 14, 2016 from 1-5 PM. A Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at 12 Noon in Bethesda United Presbyterian Church with Rev. Walter Pietschmann officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH. Burial will follow in Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp. Memorial contributions may be made to Bethesda United Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund, 314 S. Third Avenue Elizabeth, PA 15037.
