Ernest F. Buccini, age 91, of McKeesport died Thursday, May 9, 2024 at UPMC McKeesport Hospital. Born November 30, 1932 in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Donato A. and Maria (Gatta) Buccini, and the devoted husband of 66 wonderful years to Helen A. (Marchetti) Buccini.

Ernie served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Equitable Resources Inc with 40 years of service, and at the time of his retirement, he worked as a gas controller in the Systems Operating Department in Pittsburgh. Ernie was a member of St. Joachim and Anne Parish and attended St. Eugene Church of Liberty Borough, Knights of Columbus #995 of McKeesport, The American Legion of Port Vue, and the Equitable Gas Co. Retirees. He was a generous, kind and caring man and always enjoyed a good laugh and good food. Ernie spent many years hand crafting and delivering rosary beads to local hospitals and those in need.

In addition to his wife, Ernie is survived by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Ada Consiglio and Elda Polidora.

Family and friends will be received at Willig Funeral Home & Crematory on Monday, May 13, 2024, from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. at St. Eugene Church, 3210 Liberty Way, McKeesport.
