Gladys Esther Volk, 98, of Allison Park, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2024. She was born December 21, 1925 in Versailles Township and was the daughter of the late James and Sofia (Vajola) Rob. Gladys was a member of Christ Church at Grove Farms.

She is survived by her husband of 76 years, Robert William Volk, daughter, Janet A. (Benjamin) Caplan of Allison Park, son, Ross David (Margaret) Volk of Randolph, NJ., grandchildren, Emily Volk, Steven Volk, and David Caplan, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Robert Wayne Volk, granddaughter, Rachael Volk, and sisters, Irma Fleming, Helen Kite, Amanda Apple, and Irene Sullinger. Friends are welcome Friday, May 31, 2024 from 1-3 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 1638 Lincoln Way, White Oak. (412) 672-6322 Troy J. Gilbert, director.
