Richard A. Perhats, age 86, of Port Vue, formerly of Duquesne died June 15, 2024. Born March 23, 1938, in Bellvue, he was a son of the late Helen (Perhats) Ondike, and the husband of the late Margaret J. Perhats, for 54 years.
Richard worked for over 30 years for Long's Hauling Company and was a member of St. Eugene Church - St. Joachim and Anne Parish. In his later years, Richard found a passion for buying and selling at the flea market, and also collecting coins and different antiques. He also enjoyed spending time at the beach, fishing, gardening, reading the newspaper and cherished walking his loyal pet dog, Corkey.
Richard is survived by his children, Brenda Seigler of North Versailles and Tracy (James) McElrone of Harrison City; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by son, Richard Michael Perhats.
Family and friends will be received at Willig Funeral Home & Crematory on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, from 4 to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10 a.m., at St. Eugene Church, 3120 Liberty Way, Liberty Boro.
