Harold R. “Archie,” “Honey” Bost, age 83, formerly of Larimer, PA, passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, in Centre Care, Bellefonte, PA. Born in Duquesne on July 21, 1940, he was the son of the late Harold and Sophie (Kapolka) Bost. He was a retired foreman from U.S. Steel Duquesne Works, Electric Furnace and also retired from Nabisco-Wilkinsburg as a Machinist. He proudly served his country in the Air Force Reserves. He liked woodworking and liked to tinker and re-wire anything that was broken. He also enjoyed flea markets. He was the husband for 53 years to the late Marielania (Wood) Bost; father of Kathy (Harold) Bletz of Snow Shoe, PA; grandfather of Kelly Bletz; brother of Jack (late Phillis) Bost of West Mifflin, Jim (Wanda) Bost of North Carolina, Gerry (Cindy) Bost of Warren, PA, late Robert “Butch” (surviving spouse Fran) Bost of Bethel Park and late William E. (surviving spouse Linda) Bost of Munhall. He is also survived by nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 8, 2024, from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 Noon at the MALOY-SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 915 KENNEDY AVE., DUQUESNE, 15110, 412-466-3300, WILLIAM B. SCHLEIFER, SUPERVISOR, WILLIAM BRIAN SCHLEIFER, FUNERAL DIRECTOR. A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home, following the Visitation, at 12:00 Noon, on July 8, 2024, followed by burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Mifflin.
