Thomas Edward Icardi, 81, of North Huntingdon, passed away on Monday, June 24, 2024. He was born December 25, 1942 in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Leo E. and Sarah H. (Black) Icardi. He grew up in East McKeesport, and went to work at the age of 11 for his father’s business Century Construction. He was a loving father and grandfather who dedicated his life to family, and was always willing to help anyone in need. Thomas was an Army veteran and worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 37 years, where he was known as “Ike”. He was a member of American Legion Post 701, White Oak, and enjoyed fishing, especially trips to Canada and New York. He is survived by his wife Mary (Ablauf) Icardi; daughter Carla Icardi Powell of North Huntingdon; grandsons Anthony Powell (Haley Brunner) of Baden, and Nick (Ashley) Powell of West Newton; great grandsons Nickolas Jr. and Kameron Powell; brother James (Sherry) Icardi of Boca Raton, FL; nieces Lea (Michael) Bayer and Heather (Scott) Edward; brothers and sister in-law Alvin (Janet) Ablauf, Regina Ablauf, and Gary Ablauf; also nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and cousins.
