Carl S. "Sam" Folk, Sr., 86 of Bunola, passed away Friday, July 5, 2024 at home surrounded by his family and loved ones. He was born in Juniata County on November 9, 1937 and was the son of the late Clarence and Ruth (Mason) Folk. Sam worked for 35+ years for Port Authority as an Assignment Shifter, scheduling hundreds of bus routes and keeping track of each bus coming and going out of the garage. He was also simultaneously part owner, alongside his brother-in-law, Ted, of Allegheny Landscaping. Eventually retiring in 1994, Sam always kept busy outside - cutting grass, splitting wood, supervising side jobs, but most importantly enjoying time with his family poolside and vacations to the beach. Those who were close to him knew he had the biggest sweet tooth- a large sheet cake was always on the menu for family gatherings.

In addition to his parents, Carl is preceded in death by his siblings, Selena Mae Peterson, Dorothy Louise Salka, John Robert Folk, and Nancy Williams; as well as his son-in-law, Vincent James Candelore, Sr. Family and friends are welcome Sunday, July 7, 2024 from 2-4pm & 6-8pm and Monday, July 8, 2024 from 10am-12pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township.
