Charles T. Dluhy, age 93, of McKeesport, PA, passed away peacefully in his sleep with his devoted son and nieces and nephews by his side on July 31, 2024, at the Kane Community Living Center of McKeesport. Born June 16, 1931, he was the son of the late Charles and Edith (Petrosky) Dluhy. He was the loving husband of the late Agnes (Chiaverini) Dluhy for over 65 years.
Chuck was formerly a senior illustrator with the Westinghouse Corporation in Churchill Borough, where he retired after 39 years of service. He graduated from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh with a diploma in Commercial Art. Although his career was in technical illustration, his hobby was drawing, sketching, and painting for family and friends, including portraits, sports figures, caricatures, greeting cards, signs for birthdays, retirements, graduations, weddings, and many more special occasions. He dutifully served his country in the United States Marines Corps for three years during the Korean War. He also enjoyed watching Steelers games, eating German food, and attending the theatre. His laid-back demeanor, friendly personality, and sense of humor were loved by all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving son, Charles F.; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Arrangements were entrusted to Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory. Condolences may be shared at www.jaycox-jaworskifh.com.
