Raymond J. Coval, 91, of White Oak, died Friday, Jan. 22, 2016.

He was born May 17, 1924, in Port Vue, a son of the late John and Elizabeth Bozogan Coval. Raymond was a mechanical engineer and retired from Dravo Engineering. He was World War II veteran, having served in the Army, and a member of the White Oak American Legion Post 701. He was an usher at St. Angela Merici Church and a member of the Holy Name Society. In his spare time, he volunteered at Kane Hospital, McKeesport, and was the oldest marathon runner in Pittsburgh. Raymond is survived by nephews, Richard "Butch" Prezel, of Show Low, Ariz., Robert, John and Dennis Prezel, of Pittsburgh; niece, Lisa Prezel, of Pittsburgh; and cousin, Sally Smiley, of Munhall. He was preceded in death by his sister, Eleanor Prezel. Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at STRIFFLERS OF WHITE OAK CREMATION & MORTUARY SERVICES, 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 Sue Striffler Galaski, Supervisor (412-678-6177). Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Angela Merici Church, with Father Kevin Dominik as celebrant. Interment will follow.
