Donald Hodge, age 81, of Versailles Borough, died Nov. 23, 2016, at Allegheny Health Network Healthcare At Home & Inpatient Hospice at West Penn Hospital. Born May 10, 1935, in Mifflin Twp., he was the son of the late Elmer and Sarah (Shaffer) Hodge and the husband of Lucille (Salvi) Hodge. They were married for over 61 years.

Donald was a former pattern maker at Bucyrus Erie in Glassport and Fort Pitt Steel in Christy Park. He was a skilled carpenter and built Richmark Homes through Ackerman Construction. Donald was a wonderful father and helped all his children build their homes and build good lives. He was a former member of Boston United Methodist Church.

In addition to his beloved wife, Donald is survived by children, Donald (Nadine) Hodge of Greenock, Michael (Debra) of White Oak and Debra (Gene) Gluscic of Versailles; grandchildren, Brian, Christy, Rebecca, Rachel, Michael, Shayna, Gabriel and Joseph; 10 great grandchildren; siblings, Courtney (Betty) Hodge of Greenock and Della Santucci of McKeesport; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by siblings, William, Jean, Ronald, Earl, Sam and Shirley.

Family and friends will be received on Saturday from 6-8 pm and Sunday from 1-3 and 6-8 pm at Willig Funeral Home & Crematory. Funeral service will be Monday, 10:00 a.m., in the Willig Funeral Home chapel. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Port Vue. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Serra Catholic School, 200 Hershey Dr., McKeesport.
