Maureen Effie Mort, 90, of Port Vue, passed away October 8, 2024.  Born February 18, 1934, she was the wife of the late Harold (Pete) Mort.  Maureen was active at the church she loved, the Port Vue Methodist Church in the food pantry, F.O.D. Flea Market, consolation dinners, or wherever she could serve the Lord.

She was the proud mother, of Richard (Kathleen) Mort, Charles (the late Michelle) Mort, and Valerie Himich; dear grandmother, of Carl (Kara) Himich, Eric Himich, Shawn (Rachael) Mort, Michele (Shaun) Halberda, Rachel (Donald) Palo, and Joshua Mort; great-grandmother, of Erica Himich, Evan Mort, Eric Mort, Bryson Halberda, Huxley Halberda, Haizley Halberda, Haley Palo, Evelyn Palo, Adeline Palo, and Lucy Palo.  Family and friends will be received on Saturday, October 12, 2024, from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at noon.  The burial will be private.  Condolences and memories may be shared at www.willigfuneralcremationservices.com.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Port Vue United Methodist Church Good Samaritan Food Pantry.
