Willig Funeral Home & Crematory

Obituaries | The Tube City Almanac | December 10, 2024

Kimberly A. (Tkach) Sloss, age 67, of Liberty Borough, died at home peacefully in her sleep after a long battle with dementia on December 1, 2024.  Born November 3, 1957, in West Mifflin, she was the daughter of the late Joseph A. "Sonny" and Evelyn "Sis" (Skovranko) Tkach.
Born with a nurturing spirit, Kim dedicated her life to caring for others as a Certified Nursing Assistant, a role that encompassed her passion for kindness and compassion.  Kim was a devoted mother to her daughter, Cara Sloss, and the proudest grandmother to her grandsons, who were the light of her life.  There wasn't an event she would miss, her infectious enthusiasm and unwavering support made her their number one fan, and she embraced the role of "grandma" to all children who had the privilege of knowing her.

A lover of the beach, Kimberly found joy in collecting seashells, each piece a reflection of her vibrant spirit.  Known for her big heart, she extended her love to all living beings, especially her beloved dogs-Willow and Bailey, and her cherished companions, Big Mama Delta, and Harper.
Kim is survived by her long-time partner Timothy Sloss; a devoted mother to her children, Cara Sloss, of Liberty Borough, and Matthew (Heather) Sloss, of Port Vue; grandchildren, Ayden (Madison Taylor) Sloss, of Liberty Borough, and Landon (Meghan Perozich) Gulasky, of Port Vue; a cousin, Patrick (Lori) Malseed, of Elizabeth.
Arrangements were entrusted to Willig Funeral Home & Crematory.  Condolences and memories may be shared at www.willigfuneralcremationservices.com.
