Sandra Beth Crummer (née Kozeka), age 63, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, passed away on December 23, 2024, surrounded by her loving husband, Kurt, and family. Sandra was born on September 14, 1961, to John Kozeka and Margaret Carrick and grew up alongside her six siblings: Margaret Moltz, Susan Pivar, Karen Buday, John Kozeka Jr., Kenneth Kozeka, and Diane Roland.
Sandra married the love of her life, Kurt Crummer, on May 23, 1981. Together, they shared over 43 wonderful years of marriage, creating cherished memories filled with love, laughter, and companionship. Though they did not have children, Sandra's caring nature and vibrant spirit touched the lives of her nieces, nephews, and great-nephew, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her.
A lover of animals, Sandra had a special affinity for birds and found joy in their beauty and song. Her home was often a haven for creatures of all kinds, reflecting her deep compassion and connection to nature. Sandra also enjoyed quiet moments indulging in simple pleasures, such as listening to music by Van Morrison, Jimmy Buffett, and Josh Groban, and relaxing in the spa.
Despite facing significant health challenges, Sandra remained a source of strength and warmth for her loved ones. Her courage and grace in the face of adversity inspired those around her. Kurt's unwavering dedication and care were a testament to their enduring bond, and he was by her side every step of the way.
Sandra will be remembered for her loving heart, her quick wit, and the joy she brought to the lives of her family and friends. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her, and her legacy of kindness and compassion will never be forgotten.
In lieu of contributions, the family kindly requests that Sandra be remembered for the beautiful person she was. As two lines from her favorite songs remind us of her grace and spirit:
"I'm looking for someone to change my life, I'm looking for a miracle in my life." "Between the silence of the mountains, and the crashing of the sea, there lies a land I once lived in, and she's waiting there for me."
