Freda B. (Palumbo) Moorhouse, age 100 years, was born on June 4, 1916 in Large, PA and went into eternal life on December 8, 2016.  She was happily reunited with her husband Charles P. Moorhouse; parents, John and Eva (D'Abbodanza) Palumbo; brother, Joseph (Dom) Palumbo; sister-in-law, Peg Palumbo; sister, Ann Ricci, brother-in-law Chief Ricci; Mary DellaValle, brother-in-law Ralph Della Valle; and Jeanne Bencivenga; brother-in-law Benjamin Bencivenga; sister Phoebe Palumbo, brothers-in-law Stanley Telega and Henry Kopchinski. 

Left to celebrate her wonderful life is her treasured daughter, Carol Wilburn; grandchildren Jennifer and Steven Jendritz; great-grandchildren; Connor, Ava and Gigi Jendritz all of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Her sister, Margaret Telega in Troy, New York; sisters Sophie Kopchinski of Jefferson, PA and Lorraine Barco of Finleyville, PA; brother-in-law; Frank Barco and many beloved nieces and nephews. Throughout Freda's long life, she loved her family dearly and cherished all their fond memories.  She was always a devoted friend to many and enjoyed her final days living at Aurora Pond and Railside Living Center in Grand Rapids. Freda found great joy in attending her Catholic Church where she was an active member and a lady of charity. She enjoyed her many jobs and especially that of being a hairdresser that she did until she was 78. Whether it was playing a good hand of bridge, cooking her Italian cuisine or just helping someone each day, Freda did it all with gusto and heart.  She was a special lady.  Friends will be received in the A.J. Bekavac Funeral Home, 555 5th. St., Clairton, PA 15025 (412-233-5700) on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at 10 AM in St. Clare of Assisi Church with burial following in St. Clare Cemetery.  Her daughter would like to thank all of the caregivers at Railside Living Center and the outstanding and loving staff of Grace Hospice who took care of Freda.
