It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Jane E. Contrella, who died on January 10, 2025, at age 87, of Elizabeth Twp., at Concordia of Franklin Park. Born August 29, 1937, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late John and Sophie (Dudek) Pasternak and wife of the late Richard D. Contrella.

Jane was a homemaker and dedicated her life to caring for her family and home. She was a member of Holy Family Polish National Catholic Church of McKeesport, where Jane was a member of the Ladies Adoration Society, taught Sunday School for over 25 years, and was a Pierogi Pincher. She enjoyed ocean cruises, baking her famous nut rolls, and was a great seamstress in her early years.

A cherished mother, Jane lived a life filled with love, compassion, and grace, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who had the privilege to know her.

She is survived by her sons, Richard J. Contrella of Pine Twp. and Robert (Gloria) Contrella of Valencia; grandchildren, Nathan (Stephany) Contrella of Clark, NJ, Ben (Taryn) Contrella of Pine Twp., PA, Elizabeth (Nico) Baldelli of Zelienople, PA, and James Contrella of Springdale, PA; great-grandchildren, Maxwell, Celia, and Reid Contrella, and Braxon and Brynlee Baldelli; brother, Adam Pasternak of Elizabeth; also nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and extended family.
Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, from 2 to 8 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, 10 a.m., at Holy Family Polish National Catholic Church of McKeesport.
Committal prayers and burial will follow at Holy Family Cemetery in North Versailles.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Holy Family Polish National Catholic Church, 1921 Eden Park Blvd., McKeesport, PA 15132.
