It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of Marianne "Marian" Sikorski of Liberty Borough, who left us on January 14, 2025, at the age of 84. Born on September 13, 1940, in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, to the late Michael and Georgette (Stasko) Ladzun and the wife of Sigmund Larry Sikorski for 60 years. Marian started taking care of others at a very young age. Her home became a safe haven for many throughout the years. Her strength and faith portrayed through her love of others.

She was a talented cosmetologist, a certified nurses aide, and homemaker, who used her skills to uplift others. She was a member of St. Joachim and Anne Parish, attending St. Eugene Church of Liberty Borough. Marian taught Catechism,was a member of the Christian Mothers, a den mother for Boy Scouts, and a huge fan of softball and baseball. She was very creative with sewing, painting and making her and her daughter's yard full of vibrant flowers.
In addition to her husband Larry, Marian is survived by her daughter, AnnMarie (David) Sowa of Liberty Borough; grandchildren, Kelli (Paul) Simon (whom she raised), CJ (Ashley) Raymond, Cassandra (Jeremy) Stokes, Emma (Michael) Stanzel, Keaton (Ashley) McClelland, and Michael Sikorski; great-grandchildren, Caydence, Kaylee, Paul, Michael, Kaci, Ember, Mateo, and Brooklyn; great-great-grandchild, KJ; brother, John (Cody) Ladzun; sisters, Georgette Angelo and Helen Ladzun.
Along with her parents Marian was also preceded in death by her son, Lawrence Michael Sikorski and brother, George Ladzun..
Arrangements were entrusted to Willig Funeral Home & Crematory.
In the coming days, family and friends will gather to celebrate Marian's life and legacy. A memorial mass will be held at St. Joachim and Anne Parish - St. Eugene Church, Liberty Borough, on Friday, January 17, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. All who knew and loved Marian are invited to attend the mass, to celebrate "BUB".
Inurnment will be in Calvary Cemetery of Port Vue at a later date.
