Virginia M. Hankey, 76, of North Huntingdon, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Montefoire Hospital, Pittsburgh.

She was born August 7, 1940 in Waterman, PA, a daughter of the late Robert and Verna Stiles Uncapher.  Prior to her retirement, Virginia worked as a clerk for the Irwin Isaly's and was a member of the Suburban Community Church.  She enjoyed baking, crafts and spending time with her family.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two brothers, Lawrence U. and Robert Uncapher; and two sisters, Elsie Shultz and Mary Jane Dick.  She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Robert J. Hankey; son, Robert Hankey and his wife, Carol; daughter, Tammy Barlock and her husband, Timothy; three grandchildren, Matthew and Lauren Hankey, Tyler Barlock; and brother, Eugene (Valera) Uncapher.  Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, PA.  A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.  Entombment in Westmoreland Memorial Park.  www.shirleyfuneralhome.com.
