Josephine P. Kovacs, age 85, of North Huntingdon, passed away Friday, December 9, 2016 at Kane Regional Center, McKeesport.

She was born September 2, 1931 in West Homestead.  Prior to her retirement, Josephine was employed by K-mart in North Versailles with 32 years of service.  She was a member of the First Free Evangelical Church and AARP 3221 where she served as the Sunshine Chairperson.  Friends will be received on Sunday  2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, PA.  A funeral service will be held on Monday at 11a.m.  in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Kirk Albrecht.  Interment in Brush Creek Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Free Evangelical Church Children's Center.  www.shirleyfuneralhome.com.
