Martha J. Vesonder, age 90, of White Oak, was unexpectedly called home to our Lord and Savior on February 9, 2025. She was predeceased by her parents, Marion (Sokol) and Floyd G. Okeson, and her husband of 17 years, Regis F. Vesonder.  She is survived by her sister, LaVerne Roidt of North Versailles; daughters Paula Greenwald of White Oak and Laura (Chris) Karpinsky; her beloved grandchildren, Stephen and Michelle Karpinsky of North Versailles; nieces and nephew, Marie Ruby of McKeesport, Sarah Boyd, Ruth Towns and Saul Vesonder all of Peoria, Illinois. She is also survived by many cousins in the Sokol and Vesonder families. She remained in close phone contact with Sue Ellen Lind, Claudia Misage, and Joy Kushnir and met with Tim Vesonder upon occasion over a plate of Tillie's spaghetti. She was fond of her cousin Roseanne Kinzler, her good friend Richard Andracki, and his (late) mother Flo.

Martha was a graduate of McKeesport High School and Robert Morris College. She worked for the Accounting Department at the Westinghouse R&D Center in Churchill for over 30 years and was the manager at retirement.
Martha belonged to Mary, Mother of God Parish, and was a Friend of the Sisters of the Divine Redeemer in Elizabeth, PA. She was a past member of the Port Vue Women's Club, the Christian Mothers of St. Joseph Church in Port Vue, and more recently, the Yough Country Club Ladies Bowling League and several ladies card clubs.
She was an avid fan of Pitt Panther football and basketball and enjoyed traveling to away games with the Pitt Golden Panthers.  Her greatest joy in life was her grandchildren. She made costumes for them for Halloween, and at Christmas, the room was filled with joy and gifts. As they grew up, she enjoyed baking with Michelle and watching or attending Pitt games with Stephen.  Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Monday, February 17, 2025, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at 1 p.m. at the Sisters of the Divine Redeemer Motherhouse Chapel in Elizabeth. Celebrant, The Most Reverend Paul J. Bradley will officiate. The inurnment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Port Vue. Condolences and memories may be shared at www.jaycox-jaworskifh.com.
