Mae Frances Stanley Gooden, 74 of Duquesne, Pennsylvania, peacefully departed Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at home.
Born November 28, 1942 in McKeesport, PA, daughter of the late Armutis and Essie Davidston Stanley. She was preceded in death by siblings Nora Jamison, Ernestine Howard, Edward Stanley, Wilbert Stanley, Kenneth Stanley, Calvin Stanley, Phillip Stanley, and Cornell Stanley.
Mae was a fifty-year member of Macedonia Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Usher, Nurses, and Trustee Boards. She was a 1960 graduate of Duquesne High School and was a retired Tipstaff for Allegheny County Justice Cynthia Baldwin.
Survivors include her husband, Alfred Gooden; children, Jason Gooden of Baltimore, MD, Germaine Gooden-Patterson of Clairton, Romona (Kevin) Johnson of White Oak; siblings, Mildred Nash of Sewickley, Barbara Smith and Gladys Crawford both of Atlanta, GA, Carmella McIver of Birmingham, AL; six grandchildren, one great-grandchild, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Friends will be received Friday from 4-8 p.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church, 17 Cochran Street, Duquesne, Pennsylvania. Services will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Archie D. Perrin, officiating.
Interment will follow in the McKeesport & Versailles Cemetery, McKeesport.
