Emma M. Swonger

Emma M. Swonger, 104, of Elizabeth Township passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2025. She was born at home in Blythedale, on July 29, 1920 to the late Walter and Margaret (Fasekas) Ulbrich - as well as the wife to the late William Swonger, who passed in 1989. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Frank, the Elizabeth Tonwship Senior Citizens, the Elizabeth Chapter 418 of the Eastern Star, and a volunteer at the Boston Commons Lifespan. She had many hobbies, such as crafting, knitting, and crocheting. She is survived by her daughter, Jean Gardner of Buena Vista; son Timothy (Gerrolyn) Swonger of Elizabeth Tonwship; grandchildren, Donna (Eric) Piper of Elizabeth Township, and Billy Gardner of McKeesport; her great-grandchildren, Allanah and Braden Finnegan, and Caleb Piper; her brother, Donald Ulbrich; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Emma is preceded in death by her brother, John Ulbrich. As requested, there will be no visitation or services at this time.
