Charles Edward Farkas, age 62, of White Oak, PA, peacefully passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2025. He was born in McKeesport, PA on April 17, 1962, and is the son of the late Charles J. Farkas, who passed away on September 8, 2024, and Laurel Jane Malone Farkas of White Oak, PA.
He was a 1980 graduate of McKeesport Vocational Technical High School. Charles was employed by Port Authority from 1999 until 2025, and POMCO from 1980 until 1982. He was also employed by Cory Coffee/Aramark from 1983 until 1999.
In addition to his mother, Charles is survived by his wife, Janene Maizer Farkas; sons, Zachary (Katie) Farkas of Industry, PA; Tyler Farkas of White Oak, PA; and Collin Farkas of White Oak, PA; sisters, Lori (Duane) Morgan of McKeesport, PA; Carie (Michael) Ramela of Acme, PA; and Nichol (the late Bryan) Jordan of McKeesport, PA; brothers-in-law, Vincent (Michelle) Maizer III of White Oak, PA; Mark Morgan of North Huntingdon, PA; and Dan Arnold of Delmont, PA; mother-in-law, Frances Maizer of White Oak, PA; many nieces; nephews; great-nieces; and great-nephews; and pets, Holly Belle; Luna; and Piper.
Family and friends are invited to gather to honor his memory on Sunday, March 16, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, supervisor, 412-678-6177). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 17, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Mary, Mother of God Parish, St. Angela Merici Church, 2701 Kelly Street, White Oak, PA 15131.
