Jacob M. Wilson

Willig Funeral Home & Crematory

Obituaries | The Tube City Almanac | June 27, 2025

Jacob Michael Wilson was born on March 9, 2002. A baby boy full of smiles and joy grew into a young man with a servant's heart. A warrior for the oppressed. Jake was a free spirit full of life. He loved family, friends, animals, computers, and bikes. As a young boy, he loved riding his pedal bike and doing jumps. As he grew, that passion turned from pedal to dirt bikes. As he grew, his servant's heart grew. We watched the little boy who happily helped at Walnut Grove food bank become a 237 Jr firefighter. Jake attended South Allegheny High School. He was on the track team and loved to run. In his senior year Jake started an initiative to repair and restore old computers because not every student has one. Jake graduated in June 2020. Jake worked for Fayette Resources as a caretaker for special needs adults. That was Jake always helping someone. Jake always had your back or would give you the shirt off his back.

When Jake entered a room, the atmosphere changed for the better. He left a handprint on everyone he met. He is deeply loved and missed. Beloved son to Tim & Sandy Wilson, Best Big Little Brother to Katie Wilson Montgomery (Chalmers Montgomery) and Kelly Johnson. Coolest Uncle ever to Ayla, Zyra, Tessa, Eli, Montgomery, and Harlow. Beloved Bonus Grandson Beetle & Sharon LaRoche and Dorothy & Rich Henderson. Loved and cherished Nephew and Cousin to LaRoche, Cornelissen, Murphy, Moffitt, and Wilson families. Loved and treasured friend to many. Jake will live on in our hearts and memories forever. Remember the smile, remember the laugh.

Family and friends will be received at Willig Funeral Home & Crematory on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at 10 a.m., in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Port Vue.
