Obituaries | The Tube City Almanac | October 28, 2025

Kevin J. Kuremsky, age 71, of White Oak, died at home on October 25, 2025. Born April 4, 1954, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Alexander and Helen (Csokuly) Kuremsky and loving husband of Kathleen (Bevan) Kuremsky, with whom he shared 41 wonderful years of companionship, having been married for 17 of those years.

Kevin dedicated 34 years to the steel industry as a motor inspector at U.S. Steel, primarily at the Duquesne and Irvin Works. After retiring, he remained active in the community as a longtime member of the 11th Ward Club, where his friendly demeanor and keen intellect endeared him to many.

In his personal life, Kevin was a passionate history buff with a particular interest in Gettysburg, the Civil War, and World War II. His love for history was matched only by his fascination with politics, and he engaged with current events with an informed perspective. An avid football fan, he enjoyed placing bets on games, bringing a lighthearted spirit to sporting events.

Throughout his life, Kevin had a remarkable way of making connections; it seemed he could never go anywhere without running into someone he knew. His warmth, kindness, and engaging conversations created lasting memories for friends and family alike.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a brother, Larry (Linda) Kuremsky, of Greensburg; nephew, Connor Kuremsky, of Denver, CO; nieces, Jessica Bevan, of West Mifflin, and Meghan (Mark) Stramaski, of Saltsburg; great-niece, Hannah Stramaski; great-nephew, Jared Stramaski. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Dale Kuremsky, and a nephew, Andrew Kuremsky, whom he shared a very special bond and friendship.

Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at noon. The burial will follow at Round Hill Cemetery. Condolences and memories may be shared at www.jaycox-jaworskifh.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation at https://t2t.org/donate/.
