Barbara Jean Kelley, 85 of West Mifflin, Pennsylvania, quietly passed away Monday, January 2, 2017 at Baldwin Health Center.
She was born August 5, 1931 in West Elizabeth, PA, daughter of the late Cicero Johnson, Sr. and Julia Boyd Johnson. She was the youngest of ten children and preceded in death by all of her siblings.
Barbara was a faithful member of First A.M.E. Church, where she sang in the Senior Chorus and was a member of the Rosa E. Pettis Missionary Society. She previously played piano for Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church Choir and was a former Daughter Elk of the Lily of the Valley Temple 500 of Elizabeth.
Survivors include children, Edward G.(Camille) Kelley, II of Elizabeth, Pamela J. Kelley of West Mifflin, and Lorey (Richard) Kelley Carter of Ashburn, VA; two grandchildren, Edward G. Kelley III and Ashley S. Kelley, one great grandchild, Kiarra R. Hrezo, and one great great-grandchild, Abriella Hrezo. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, and loving friends.
Friends will be received Friday from 4-8 P.M. at First A.M.E. Church, 177 Mitchell Avenue, Clairton, Pennsylvania, where services will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at with Rev. Linda Moore, officiating.
Interment will follow in Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth.
Arrangements entrusted to the Robert A. Waters Funeral Home, Inc., Clairton, PA.
