Deloris J. Bales, age 95 of North Huntingdon, passed away on January 14, 2026 at Redstone Highlands in Greensburg. She was born on August 18, 1930 in New Castle, a daughter of the late Charles and Elsie McClure Derr. Deloris was a member of Christ United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Ridge Road Women's Club, both a girl scout leader and a boy scout den leader. Deloris enjoyed knitting. she often knitted baby blankets, caps, sweaters, lap robes and afghans. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John W. Bales, and two brothers, Charles and Robert Derr and a sister Marjorie Ekin. She is survived by one son, John C. Bales (wife Karen), two daughters, Sue Ann Jacobs (husband Douglas) and Janice Durmis (husband Charles), seven grandchildren, Jessica, John, Rachel (husband Louis), Mitchell (wife Sara), Nathan, Joshua (wife Ava), Jacob (wife Morgan), and seven great-grandchildren, Ivana, Isaac, Sarah, Vincent, Madeline, Connor, and Brooks. Friends will be received at JAMES W. SHIRLEY FUNERAL HOME, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, on Sunday from 1-4 p.m. at which time a service will be held in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be private in Jefferson Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given in Deloris's name to the Christ United Methodist Church. www.shirleyfuneralhome.com
