Carl L. Loughner, 85, of North Huntingdon, celebrated his 85th birthday on Friday and passed away Sunday, January 22, 2017 at his home.
He was born January 20, 1932 in Irwin, PA, a son of the late Harry Loughner and Florence Landon Evashasko. Prior to his retirement, Carl was a coal miner and a veteran of the Korean War having served in the US Air Force. He enjoyed gardening and growing lilies. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley Lash Loughner. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Bitkowski Fuller Loughner; sons, Douglas Loughner, Wayne Fuller and his wife, Denise; daughters, Carla Severs and her husband, Jamie; Bonny Holmes and her husband, Wendell "Buck", Beth Sherry; Laura Whiting and her husband, David, Kristen Reitler and her husband, Greg; grandchildren, Matthew, Kelly, Adam, Brandon, Lia, Sierra, Justin, Ashley, Jonathan, Ryan, Julia; great-granddaughter, Olive; and his beloved pup O'Malley. Services are private. Arrangements made by the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, PA.
