June R. (Hood) Marnell, age 81 of Clairton, passed away on January 24, 2017 in HCR Manor Care, Whitehall. June was born in West Elizabeth on June 30, 1935 to Margaret (Kibe) Hood of Pleasant Hills and the late Leroy Hood. 

June was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Parish, Clairton. She worked for years cooking for the people of Clairton at the former St. Clair Restaurant and Ann's Restaurant. June enjoyed, playing cards, crossword puzzles, game shows, traveling and spending as much time with her family as possible. She is survived by her mother Margaret (Kibe) Hood, children; Karen Bonney of St. Cloud, FL, Sandra (Rich) Pastore of Elizabeth, Twp., and Gene (Carol) Marnell of West Mifflin, grandchildren; Ron Bonney, Christina (Ray) Whitehead, Gene (Aislyn) Marnell, Bill (Brittany) Marnell, Katelyn Marnell, Amber (Luke) Lucas, Megan and Alison Pastore, sisters, Zona (Chuck) Schaffer of Bunola, Sandra (Dave) Todd of Pleasant Hills also survived by nieces and nephews. Besides her father June is predeceased by her daughter Rose Lea, grandson Christopher Bonney and son - in - law Ronald Bonney. Friends will be received in the A. J. Bekavac Funeral Home 555 Fifth St.  Clairton, PA 15025 on Saturday, January 28, 2017 from 1 - 4pm and 6 - 7:30pm followed by a Blessing Service in the Funeral Home Chapel. www.bekavacfuneralhome.com
