Adolph Davis, Jr., 85, of Clairton, Pennsylvania, passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2017 in Golden LivingCenter of Mt. Lebanon.

He was born April 26, 1931 in Clairton, PA, son of the late Adolph Davis, Sr. and Lessie Gowens Davis and was also preceded in death by sisters and brother-in-law Ernestine “Teen” Davis and Ruth (Hays) Caldwell.

Adolph was a member of First A.M.E. Church of Clairton where he was the past Usher Board President and past Sunday School teacher. He worked at Duquesne Light in the Residential Services Department.

Survivors include, loving wife of sixty-six years, Pauline Davis of Clairton; sons, Adolph (Annette) Davis, III of Pepper Pike, OH, Gary D. Davis of Clairton, Shawn O. Davis and Ryan Gambrill both of McKeesport; seven grandchildren; siblings, Elizabeth Rice of Cleveland, OH and Curtis (Thelma) Davis of Clairton; brother-in-law, Samuel Cooper of Cleveland, OH. and, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Friends will be received Saturday from 10 a.m.- 11 a.m. at First African Methodist Episcopal Church, 177 Mitchell Avenue, Clairton, Pennsylvania, where services will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Judith Moore, officiating.

Interment will follow in the Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth, Pennsylvania.
