Frances (Scalise) Drago, 95, of Sherwood Oaks, Cranberry Twp. formerly of Duquesne, died Thursday, February 2, 2017 in UPMC Passavant, McCandless Twp. Born November 17, 1921 in Bella Nicastro, Italy. She was the daughter of the Late Antonio and Caterina (Godino) Scalise. Mrs. Drago was a member of Christ, The Light Of The World Parish, Duquesne. Beloved wife of the late Charles S. Drago, she is survived by a son, Charles (Monica) Drago of Hampton Twp., a daughter, Jane (Jack) Shelley, of Cranberry Twp., a brother Anthony Scalise of West Mifflin, and six grandchildren, Brian Shelley, Jason (Amber) Shelley, Jared (Lana) Shelley, Jocelyn Fesko, Marissa Drago and Nickolas Drago, three step grandchildren, Emma, Nell, and Wesley Weidenhamer, and three great grandchildren, Brynn and Addison Shelley and Nolan Drago.
In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by three brothers, Frank Scalise, Charles, and Vincent Scalese.
Family and friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8pm on Sunday, February 5, 2017 in the William S, Skovranko Memorial Home, Inc., Richford and Commonwealth Avenue, Duquesne. A Blessing in the Memorial Home on Monday, February 6, at 11am will be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30am in Holy Name Church, Duquesne, with the Rev. Thomas Lewandowski as Celebrant. Entombment will follow in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum, Pittsburgh.
