John H. Gochnour, of Port Vue, died December 26, 2015. He was born in Port Vue on January 7, 1924 and is the son of the late Herman and Gertrude Stearns Gochnour. He served in the United States Army during WWII, where he received the Military Order of the Purple Heart. He was a member of the American Legion of Port Vue Post 447, a lifelong member of the Port Vue Volunteer Fire Department, and was the former Street Commissioner of Port Vue Borough.

He is survived by his loving wife, Donna M. Spernock Gochnour, and son; John A. Gochnour of Port Vue.
