Yvonne S. “Stephanie” Hairston, age 59, of Turtle Creek, formerly of Clairton, died December 23, 2015, at West Penn Hospital. Born October 3, 1956, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Calvin Lee and Mary Jane (White) Hairston.

She worked in the fast food industry throughout her life and also was a care taker to the elderly. She was a member of the former Morning Star Church and she currently is a member of the Bethlehem Baptist church, where she helped with the Mime Ministry and the Choir. She was a graduate of Clairton High School Class of 1975.

Yvonne is survived by children, Fontana Norfleet of East Pittsburgh and Kenecha Norfleet of Turtle Creek; 9 grandchildren; siblings, Sheila Hairston of McKeesport, Calvin (Rhonda) Hairston of Clairton, Roy (Patty) Hairston of Clairton, Brenda Hairston, Norma Clifford of Clairton and Dorothy (Dwayne) Petty; uncle, Albert Mockabee; aunt, Geraldine Anderson; also many nieces, nephews, cousins, and god children.

In addition to her parents, Yvonne was preceded in death by a sister Eleanore Hairston and her longtime companion Kenneth Norfleet.

Family and friends will be received at the Bethlehem Baptist Church, 716 Walnut St., McKeesport PA 15132, on Saturday, January 2, 2016, at 11 a.m. for a memorial service.
