George “Iggy” T. Ihnat, 76, of North Huntingdon, passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2016. He was born January 17, 1940 in Wall, a son of the late John and Mary (Evan) Ihnat. He was a teacher at the East Allegheny School system for over 37 years. He was a member of St. Angela Merici Catholic Church, White Oak, and the Alpha Gamma Phi fraternity. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother John Ihnat. He is survived by his wife of over 55 years Mary Jo (Coyne) Ihnat, sons Bruce Ihnat and Jeffrey (Cheryl) Ihnat both of North Huntingdon; grandchildren Calynn, Devin, Abigail and Isabelle; and a sister Mary Janice (John) MacKinnon of Huntingdon Beach, California.
Friends and family will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the William Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., 521 Main Street, Irwin, 724-863-1200. A private Blessing service will be held in the funeral home.
