General Information

Obituaries | The Tube City Almanac | April 28, 2017

On behalf of the board of directors of Tube City Community Media Inc., I wanted to publicly thank all of the Mon-Yough area funeral homes who provide obituaries to

Our readership figures provide evidence that this service is appreciated by Mon-Yough area residents, because these death notices are read by many, many people:

  • From Jan. 1, 2017 until today, had 42,042 visitors. Those people visited the website 188,543 times --- 79 percent of them were repeat visitors.
  • From Jan. 1, 2016, to Dec. 31, 2016, we had 79,248 visitors, who visited the website 318,243 times. Again, most of them (75 percent) were repeat visitors.

(Figures are from Google Analytics.)

We are glad to provide this service to the Mon-Yough community and we are humbled by the support and trust we have received.

We remain committed to keeping this service free, indefinitely, both to funeral professionals and the families and loved ones they serve --- there is no subscription fee or paywall, and obituaries are not "deleted" or "archived" after a certain amount of time.

If you would like to discuss advertising opportunities on our radio show or any of our websites, don't hesitate to call me at 412-614-9659.

As for our other websites, including Tube City Online, we will be adding a reporter soon to cover White Oak borough, and if funding is available, hope to grow on the South Allegheny side of the river some day.
